Changing Circular Saw Blades
The beauty of circular saws is their versatility. You can do almost any type of cutting job with the right blade. To get the best out of your saw, you will need to change the blades. Start by unplugging or taking out the battery to change the blade. The blade guard should be pulled back. Some saws come with a blade lock. Others will need a pair or vise-grips. The blade arbor bolt should be removed. This is a common task for most saws.
Take the blade off and replace it with a new one. Replace the arbor bolt and lock the blade in place. To ensure that the blade fits snugly into the shoe, use a square. Adjust the shoe to the manufacturer’s instructions if it isn’t.
Extra-thick Material Can Be Cut
Sometimes you will need to cut thicker material than your saw blade can handle. Start by marking a cut line along all four sides of your piece. For the first cut, line up your saw and use a speedsquare as a fence. To cut the entire length of the fence, you will need to make multiple passes.
